Our Targeted Delivery Technology Platform is based on using less of the active ingredient/flavor, such as sugars/polyols or salt, and delivering it more efficiently to it’s target – the taste receptors. We use a mineral carrier,  load it with sugar or salt, creating clusters of sweetness or saltiness.  These clusters are heavier, stay longer at the taste receptors, and more efficiently deliver salt or sugar to their respective taste receptors. The download  of the sugars or salt is consequently made at the right place at the right time,  resulting in a higher perception of sugar/salt.
DouxMatok has developed a strong Intellectual Property portfolio based on its technology platform, and has 14 patents granted and over 20 pending, covering the composition, the processes of making the products and their Food & Beverage applications.

Based on our Targeted Delivery Technology, we have been developing various products, including enhanced sucrose, glucose, and sugar replacements such as maltitol, xylitol, and erythritol.

Our products performed successfully in sensory tests done by Food & Beverage partners as well as by independent sensory panels, and we are working to further develop and integrate these products in food applications.
